Things I've built
Nazar
2nd of 40 teams
Dell × NVIDIA
Air-gapped diagnostic AI built on Dell GB10 hardware: an agentic loop over a local 122B LLM combines BM25 retrieval with an evidence graph to trace cross-machine failures, citing every claim to an exact source line. A fault-injection harness plants red herrings in dead code and grades against 13 criteria, so a confident wrong answer scores zero.

AltiGoz
6× people a still
frame never sees
Pedestrian-safety routing over Seattle’s 646 public traffic cameras, read live by a detector and a VLM on an NVIDIA GB10. The case for video over snapshots, measured on our own cameras: one downtown corner peaks at 25 people in any single frame but 154 walk through it in a minute.

NVIDIA Spark Hack: Seattle — AltiGoz
Live pedestrian-safety routing on a DGX Spark (GB10): a detector plus a VLM read Seattle’s public traffic cameras and hand back only what they observe — people, obstructions, lighting — never a danger verdict, which a mechanical gate enforces at build time.
Dell × NVIDIA Hackathon — Nazar
An air-gapped diagnostic AI on Dell GB10 hardware: a local 122B-parameter LLM agent with BM25 retrieval and an evidence graph, plus a fault-injection eval harness that scores root-cause analysis over confident hallucination.
Headed to UW — and Costco Travel this summer
Committed to the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, and joined Costco Travel as a Software Engineer Intern.
CascadiaJS 2026 — Cypher
A real-time conflict-risk map in one weekend: event-driven Apify scrapes archived to Box for audit, Box AI pulling structured flashpoints out of them, XGBoost risk scoring and Gemini narratives rendered on an H3 hex heatmap.
IMC Prosperity 4 — algorithmic trading
Against 18,000+ teams: priced 10 call-option vouchers with Black–Scholes and hedged the resulting delta with the underlying, market-made stationary products around a fixed fair value with inventory-skewed quotes, and tuned every strategy on a replay backtester over the released price and trade days. Top-quartile PnL across the final two rounds.
Blog — Ways to Decompose a Face
Building eigenfaces from scratch with SVD, then NNMF — how each one reconstructs and generates faces.
2025
Badger Build Fest — MedCheck
An Ethereum-based ledger for verifying medication batches, built in under 36 hours — our first time touching Solidity.
Yoodli Vibe-Coding Hackathon — Bludify
Selected as one of five finalists at the Seattle AI2 House incubator for an AI-native advertising concept.
2024
HackPNW 2024 — SAT-Shark
A real-time multiplayer SAT-prep game built on WebSockets; won Best Functionality.

Software Engineer Intern
Costco Travel · Issaquah, WA · current
- Cut business-rule releases from three weeks to minutes by moving hard-coded Java rules into a visual DMN editor that analysts change without engineers — the old cycle had let time-limited hotel discount listings expire before they could ship.
- Put Kogito compiler and JUnit validation in front of every rule deploy, after an unvalidated rules bug had zeroed flight commissions for a month undetected (about $1 million).
- Built a local-LLM assistant (Ollama) that edits DMN decision tables from plain English: the model emits intents rather than writes, a deterministic harness resolves and applies them, and four Kogito compiler gates have to approve every change.
- Benchmarked three local models across 20 requests each — 60 runs, zero invented tool calls, and not one wrong edit offered, because every miss was withheld by the gates rather than caught downstream.
- Redesigned the runtime from in-memory hot-reloading to immutable build-time compilation, moving rule validation out of production and into PR time and making rollback a redeploy of the previous build.
- Enabled concurrent editing through a WebSocket session layer: pessimistic per-file locks with a server-side timeout and inactivity auto-release, so a dropped socket cannot strand a file.
- Shipped rules as JGit commits through Azure DevOps CI/CD — analyst saves become commits and draft PRs, then a JUnit test stage and an Artifactory publish carry them to a staged deploy.
